Pretty cool subject matter to pick yo it's got some merit to it but there quite a bit of proportional errors going on with this piece. It's always so much easier with a reference to pick out so thank you for that! 99% of people never include the reference.
What's most notable right off the bat is the expression with yours in comparison to the reference. Yours comes off as quite angry and mean. Whereas the reference isn't necessarily angry but more serious and contemplative as opposed to raw anger. This is due to the eyebrows and their muscles being overly emphasized in your piece as well as the mouth being tighter. Since the mouth is smaller it looks as if he's pressuring his lips into a grimace instead of letting them fall into the natural kind of scowl he has. The over emphasis on the scrunching of the nose as well helps to bring out this menacing look!
Other things to keep in mind are the length of the neck where yours seems to be too long. The depth lighting and detail on his shoulder armor. The distance between the eyes. etc you get the idea!
